Many people are quick
to complain, but I’d like to send a
heartfelt THANKS! with a special note for
Scott Collier and Curt Swank.
We live in Miami-Dade
county, Florida, and were affected (as so
many were) by the numerous hurricanes last
year. We were told we would have to replace
our roof, and after careful research and
consideration, we decided to upgrade to a
metal shingle roof. We inquired on the web,
and received prompt replies and answers to
our questions from KBS.
KBS continued to be
very prompt, dependable and helpful; always
easy to reach, always returning our calls in
a timely manner. We made the decision to
buy, and had all our supplies within 2
weeks.
When we encountered
difficulties and road-blocks with Miami-Dade
county permitting, Scott and Curt were with
us every step of the way. I am so impressed
(and very grateful) that they did not just
sell us materials, and then walk away to
leave us on our own. We are not
professional roofers, and they knew it.
They have been the best of mentors and
support group all in one. Your company is
good, but it is the “front line” people like
Scott and Curt that set you apart from all
others.

Hurricane Francis and
KBS Stone-Coated Steel Shingles
When I moved to Florida, I had KBS Stone Coated Shingles installed on my home.
Then along came Hurricane Francis! A day or so before the impact hit our town
of Sebastian, Florida, I spent 2 hours in line at a home center in Vero Beach to buy plywood to cover my windows and doors.
When the storm core hit south of us in Stuart, Florida, we went to ride out the storm with our son. With 105+ mph winds pounding, we spent 4 days before we came back to check on our house.
Our son's house, with standard shingles, lost several shingles on the back side of his house. All the way back to Sebastian, roofs of all kinds were damaged in some way or another.
My wife was almost in tears when we saw the destruction and roof damage up and down our block.
We suffered winds of 115 mph! There our house stood - and not a one of your shingles were missing, damaged or bent!

Dear KBS Metal Roofing;
I was very impressed by the way you talked of
"the last roof I will ever need". I
first Gerard Stone-Coated Steel Roofing on TV (The
Michael Holigan Show). I also looked at other
roofs that were on the market. Now that it is
on my house, even if it cost a little more, it makes
my home look so much better, and will add quality
and value to my home. I was also impressed by
the new roof installer. Did the work well -
all in all a very good job!

My friends at work all asked me "Why buy your roofing materials from a company in Indiana when you live in Florida?"
The answer in two words was "great service"! After placing my order, it was delivered in three days.
A representative from KBS then visited my building department, showing them how Granite Ridge Shingles should be applied. Next, he came to the house and actually worked several hours to start the job and answer all questions. The roof looks great, and was done right. Thanks for everything

"I am a member and chairman of the trustees at Riedland Baptist Church in Paducah, KY. A few years ago we needed to replace our roof on the sanctuary. Another trustee, Wayne Kirkham, told me that he had talked to KBS Metal Roofing about putting a metal roof on our sanctuary. I was against the idea. I did not want to pay that much more for a metal roof.
We decided to have KBS come to our church and talk to us about it. He convinced me that this might be a good ideal so we did it -- still against my better judgment. I watched the roof being installed and I was beginning to be impressed."
"In May, 2003, we were in the church about noon on Sunday. I heard a loud noise on the roof. I didn't know what it was at first. It was the biggest hailstorm I have ever experienced in my lifetime. It was reported to be 1 1/2" hail. Most of the cars that were in the parking lot, including mine, were damaged. We had the insurance company come and check our metal roof and they reported no damage. We had a roofer check the roof and he reported "no damage". I still wanted more proof. I had another roofer go on the roof with me. He was amazed! He could not find anything wrong with our roof. A house within 50 feet of our church had major roof damage. The Methodist church across the rood had roof damage. Almost every house within 25 miles had roof damage from the storm."
"So now I am 100% convinced that KBS Metal Roofing is the way to go. You may pay more for it but, in my experience, you won't have any trouble with it for a long time! Thank you!"
